My wife and I shopped long and hard to find a counter depth refrigerator to replace a Samsung model that gave up running correctly. This Frigidaire model GRFC2353AD fit our kitchen nicely. Looks good, fair price, cools & freezes well, stores food well on many shelf combinations. Overall, a fine refrigerator, EXCEPT FOR THE CONSTANT (24/7) LOUD WHINE FROM ??. Our kitchen is a gathering place for my family and friends. Now, no one wants to hang out there. My wife doesn't like to cook because the whining noise really bothers her hearing (aid assisted). I've contacted Frigidaire service to see what is wrong with the fridge and whether it is permanent. If the noise is permanent, Frigidaire can have this model back!!!(I wish I could attached a recording of the whining)

Upgraded from a basic refrigerator that house flippers had put in, very happy with the new fridge overall. Some of the door shelves are a little odd because there isn™™t a lot of space to get stuff into them, and the finish scratches very easily, but otherwise love my quiet, beautiful new machine.

Refrigerator works fine, freezer is a nightmare. Light in freezer never worked, frost started building up within a day or two and has now taken over the freezer. Some things now over frozen, some not frozen quite enough.

Inoperable fridgidaire

2 1/2 months after purchasing my Frigidaire refrigerator at Lowes it stopped cooling. It™™s now been three weeks without a functioning refrigerator. Customer service very difficult to reach on the phone sent a repair company who determined it was a refrigerant leak. The refrigerant, R600 requires special equipment and training to repair leak. The company they sent has neither. The only other company in the area that they authorize cannot repair this problem either. So five days ago customer service elevated the repair to find a company to repair the leak. We are still waiting to hear from Frigidaire as I write this. The icemaker doesn™™t work well and one of the doors won™™t close now. Lowes has a 48 hour return policy so we are stuck. If Frigidaire responds and fixes or replaces the refrigerator I will update this review.

Repetitive Water Dispenser Leak

I have had a technician come out twice in 4 months because the water dispenser line keeps getting cracked. The wear just from opening and closing the door is enough to crack at the top of the fridge where the line comes out from the fridge. I am not sure how this has not been made a recall because most likely every person buying this refrigerator, the way it is built now, will end up with a crack in the water line that allows air to enter and creates a drippage of water after every use. The tech just let me know he fixed this very issue for a friend that had a crack in the line within the first week of ownership.The first tech just replaced the line knowing it would crack again but Frigidaire didn't recommend anything else so can't blame him. The second tech cut the line and added a heavy duty coupling where the line makes a hard 90 degree turn and cracks. This should definitely fix it from happening again.Overall the fridge is not bad. No other issues I've had in the 5 months of owning it. Compared to my last Samsung fridge, this unfortunately has drawers that don't slide out enough and can store less in each drawer so it feels a little tighter and less spacious. Also, the doors on this will just slam when shut if you don't slowly close them yourself. My last fridge had some sort of softening mechanism, like a soft-close drawer, so it didn't rattle everything inside when you shut the doors and walked away.

Ice maker very noisy, we are still trying to peel off the factory protective plastic, since it was installed behind the gaskets and behind the sheet metal. Hard to see water/ice choices until you turn on kitchen lights. Has a metallic rattle somewhere inside towards the back.

On the assembly line in Mexico, they did not put in two screws on the drawer guides. It took several calls to Lowes who said once it was 48 hours past delivery it was the manufacture's problem to solve. Took a week to get the diagnosis and two screws which I had to put in myself.

Really read your reviews on the Frigidaire appliances. We thought they were some of the best! Bought the refrigerator in a package deal. The refrigerator is not cooling. The black stainless steel is beautiful to look at, but scratches easy. The front plate is scratched up on the freezer when we received it. Great space inside, but worthless since it is not cooling below 53°. Freezer works fine.There™™s plastic hanging in between the glass on the oven door. Frigidaire will not remove the door to take out the plastic on my brand new oven saying it is cosmetic. Concerned it may melt and be a fire hazard since it™™s a piece of plastic dangling. Plugged in the microwave, the display works, but it will not heat. One positive-Dishwasher works great! Trying to get a hold of service is frustrating. It took two weeks before I finally got someone on the phone. Their automated system stated they have an influx of calls and not available to take your call then hangs up on you. Trying via website for chat and help was a waste of time as well. When I was finally able to reach rep - which was oversees so there was a language barrier - they were not helpful to resolve my issues. She would not address my concern with the oven being a possible fire hazard with plastic stuck in it. Did not want to take the door part due to warranty, and they are brand new!She did say she would send it in order for for the fridge and microwave. But there was no one in our area that would service the microwave. I am in a large metropolitan area behind you. Did get a call from the repair company the second day and scheduled to come out three weeks later! In the meantime, my food is spoiled . The repair company told me that refrigerators get top priority, but they are so busy and it will be at least three weeks before they get here to fix the refrigerator.When they do come, they are going to look at my range and microwave, but that was my asking FrigidaireBottom line, if you want a beautiful set of appliances, that will look great in your kitchen then these are the ones for you. However, if you want functional, dependable appliances, then reconsider this brand. Past return date or I would™™ve gladly taken them back

My old fridge was close to 15 years old and desperately needed replacing. This was one of three counter depth models that for our dimensions and I am so glad we purchased it! Love the flexibility of the shelving, the water is clean and convenient and the door space is huge! Two gallons of milk got side by side! For my family of seven, it has been perfect.
